Our mission
Turning Point Netherlands educates a generation of young people about freedom, responsibility, and truth. We challenge one-sided narratives in schools and teach students to think critically, debate respectfully, and form their own opinions. With respect for diverse cultures and rooted in faith, we connect, organize, and inform Generation Z. Together, we are building a movement that never gives up, brings a culture of debate to life at vocational schools, universities of applied sciences, and universities, and inspires young people to take control of their own future. This is not a club — this is a revolution.
Origin
Turning Point Netherlands was born from a moment of reflection and action. After the attack on Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, a wave of global solidarity inspired us to start immediately — no endless planning, just decisive action. On September 15, 2025, TPNL went live, built from passion, vision, and the belief that young people shape the future. Our inspiration comes from Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk in 2012, with the mission of shaping a generation that never gives up. TPUSA grew into thousands of chapters, active student groups, and faith-based communities, with core values like freedom, personal responsibility, and limited government. They taught young people not only to talk, but to act: to organize, debate, and inspire. In the Netherlands, we apply this to our own history and society. From the Golden Age to the liberation of 1945, from local communities to international geopolitics, TPNL connects young people, organizes events, and encourages respectful debate. Faith plays a central role, giving direction and courage, just as it does at TPUSA. Together, we are building a generation that leads rather than follows, and a movement that never gives up. This is your movement.
Our impact
Turning Point Netherlands mobilizes young people and provides them with the tools to make a real impact. In the first phase, we are building a core team of enthusiastic volunteers and young leaders who learn by doing — from small talks to large campus events and field debates on topics like freedom, responsibility, and a culture of debate. Our events and working groups connect young people through education, debate, and action. We use social media and local activities to reach Generation Z and inspire them to actively participate in society. Faith plays a central role, just as it does at TPUSA, and is integrated into our gatherings and partnerships. In the long term, we aim to build a sustainable movement: chapters at schools and universities, annual conferences, debate clubs, and faith groups across the Netherlands. We measure success by engagement, attendance, and concrete actions taken by young people. Together, we are creating a generation that leads, a movement that never gives up, and a Netherlands where young people take control of their own future.
TPNL teaches young people about freedom, responsibility and truth. Through hands-on trainings, debates and workshops, they develop their own opinions and understanding of history, society and geopolitics.
We find and connect students who want to actively contribute to freedom and debate culture. Young people with a passion for politics, society and history become part of the movement.
We activate young people through events, workshops and debate clubs. Through social media and local activities, we engage Generation Z in social and geopolitical issues.
We build local chapters and networks so that young people organize events and initiatives together. Organizational strength makes the movement strong and sustainable.
We motivate young people to participate in debate, policy discussions and community initiatives. Active involvement is the key to change.
We make sure young people actually have an impact. From debate to volunteering, everyone gets the tools to make an impact in their own communities.
